About Lalaina McCue

If you're reading this, thank you for visiting my page! I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Trine University along with a minor in Robotics in 2019. Technology, building, problem solving, and creative thinking are my jam. My goal in life is to never stop learning. I began my coding journey with minimal experience. I started coding with SheCodes.io in 2020 as my COVID-19 quarantine hobby and found that I really enjoyed it. Coding works your troubleshooting, research, and creative muscles as well as tests your patience. Who doesn't love a good challenge?!

When I'm not coding, I'm coaching softball to middle schoolers and high schoolers. I've played softball since I was little through college and love sharing my knowledge and skills to help others. Sports are a great way to stay active, surround yourself with positive and supportive friends, and teaches you real life skills such as communication, time management, hard work etc.

When I'm not working, I'm spending time with friends and family outdoors (Ohio weather pemitting). My other hobbies include skiing, boating, gardening, cooking, and reading.
